**Call for New Parliamentary Elections**
The country’s crisis can only be solved by holding new parliamentary elections, says Salome Samadashvili of the Strong Georgia party.
In response to a statement from the Council of Europe, Samadashvili said that it is increasingly clear to the world that there is no other way out of the crisis. She pointed out that the organization rarely makes calls like this.
**The Council of Europe’s Statement**
The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe has made a statement calling on the Georgian government to pave the way for free and fair repeat elections at the national level. The Bureau also called on the government to take steps to eliminate political and social polarization.
Samadashvili said that this is an unusual call from the organization, as it rarely happens that they ask for elections to be postponed if a corresponding political breakthrough does not occur before them.
**A Decision Must Be Made**
It is now up to Bidzina Ivanishvili to decide what to do. He can either submit to the will of the Georgian people and international pressure by scheduling new parliamentary elections, or he can face international isolation with all the consequences that come with it.

Samadashvili hopes that many citizens will gather in Europe Square on Saturday to make their voices heard. The rally is in defense of the European future, and it is clear that everything happening today is a result of the people’s struggle.
