Salome Samadashvili, a member of the political union Lelo – Strong Georgia, expects that active discussions on the issue of abolishing visa-free travel for Georgia in the European Union will begin at the end of September.
Samadashvili also states that in the fall, Poland and other EU countries will also abolish the right to work for Georgian citizens for a certain period of time. According to her, the legislative process in this direction has already begun in Poland.
“It is a sad reality that in September the issue of suspending visa-free travel to the EU will become more active. Eight conditions were set so that Georgia would not lose visa-free travel. To date, none of these conditions have been met.
It will take some time to discuss this, but I expect that active discussions on the abolition of visa-free travel will begin from the end of September. I also expect that in the fall Poland and possibly other countries will cancel the possibility of working for Georgian citizens without a visa for a certain period.
Unfortunately, nothing good awaits us! This is the result that Georgian citizens will receive when the country is governed by a government that carries out all the tasks of Russia and tries to completely isolate the country and its citizens from the West,” said Salome Samadashvili.
