**Attack on a Journalist**
On Wednesday, a journalist named Verica Marincic was attacked while reporting on a student protest march in Indjija. She was insulted, threatened, and physically attacked by a man who did not like her filming the event.
**Restrictions on Journalists**
In another incident, journalists were searched and locked in a building during a city assembly session in Novi Sad. The police restricted their freedom of movement and did not allow them to bring their bags into the building if they had a certain logo on it.
**Raids on Media Offices**
There have been several raids on media offices in Serbia recently, including one last week that targeted the Independent Journalists’ Association of Vojvodina in Novi Sad. The police also raided four NGOs in Belgrade on suspicion of misusing funds from the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
**Call to Action**
The SafeJournalists network has called on competent institutions to stop targeting journalists and media outlets, and to provide protection to every journalist in Serbia. They have announced that they will inform relevant national and international stakeholders about these cases.
