**NATO Boosts Defense Spending and Aid to Ukraine**
The Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, has announced that the alliance is increasing its defense investments. This move comes after a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump on February 27.
Rutte said on social media platform X: “Great to talk with Donald Trump. US & NATO are getting stronger. NATO Allies are moving quickly to invest more in defense. Big increases announced & others to follow.”
In addition to boosting defense spending, NATO is also preparing billions of dollars in aid and security guarantees for Ukraine. This support will continue despite the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
This move shows that NATO members are working together to strengthen their collective defense. It also reflects Europe’s commitment to supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
