**Ukrainian Forces Destroy Most Russian Vehicles Since Invasion**

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said that Ukrainian forces destroyed the most Russian vehicles in February than at any time since the start of the full-scale invasion. According to the ministry, 3,472 vehicles and fuel tanks were destroyed, along with 596 armored combat vehicles and 331 tanks.

**Fewer Battles, More Air Strikes**

While the number of battles between Ukrainian and Russian forces decreased compared to January, the number of air strikes on Ukrainian positions and frontline settlements increased. In February, there were over 3,500 guided aerial bombs dropped by Russia, up from about 2,400 in January.

**Heavy Losses for Russia**

The Defense Ministry also reported that Russia lost a significant number of troops in February, with 36,570 people killed or injured. This is in addition to the 875,610 Russian troops estimated to have been lost since the start of the invasion on February 24, 2022.

**Russian Forces Struggle**

Russia has made some gains in eastern Ukraine and Kursk Oblast in recent months, but at a heavy cost. Their equipment losses are mounting, and they are being forced to use civilian cars in attacks. As their military equipment dwindles, Russian commanders have been providing less protective gear to soldiers.
