**Russian Drone Strikes Hit Kharkiv, Leaving Trail of Destruction**
On July 11th, the city of Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine was hit by a devastating drone attack launched by Russian forces. The assault began at around 5:17 AM, when an air raid alert was announced for the second time that day.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov took to Telegram to warn residents about the impending attack, stating that “the enemy is attacking the city with ‘Shahed’ drones – there are still strike drones in the air. Please be careful!” Just minutes later, at 5:44 AM, Terekhov reported that the enemy had struck the city center, targeting a residential area.
**Casualties and Damage Reported**
Preliminary information suggests that there have been casualties as a result of the attack. The mayor reported that a functioning medical facility in the city center was damaged due to the shelling, with windows shattered and the building still being inspected for further damage.
According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the strike occurred at 5:35 AM and targeted the Saltivka district. Impacts were recorded on a three-story building and in the courtyard, causing significant damage and fires. A four-story abandoned building, a dental clinic, and the roof of a residential building also sustained damage.
**Nine Injured, Medical Personnel Providing Assistance**
As of now, nine people have been reported injured in Kharkiv, with most experiencing acute stress reactions. Two men and seven women were among those injured, including three new mothers who were wounded by glass shards. Medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance to the victims.
