Russian Drone Attack in Ukraine: 2 Injured, Gas Station Damaged

On February 9, a Russian kamikaze drone attacked the city of Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The attack injured two men, ages 41 and 39.

According to Governor Serhii Lysak, one of the victims suffered an explosive mine injury and a shrapnel wound to the face. He will be treated as an outpatient. The other victim is hospitalized in serious condition.

A gas station and a car were also damaged in the attack.

Nikopol is located near the destroyed Kakhovka Reservoir, across from Russian-occupied Enerhodar and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Russia has been targeting this area regularly since last year.

The number of drone attacks launched by Russia at Ukraine has increased sharply since the end of last year.
