**Russia-Ukraine War Updates: March 18, 2024**
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has entered its 1,119th day. The conflict began on February 24, 2022.
**Russian Aggression Continues**
Over the past day, there were 155 reported combat clashes between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders. The enemy launched 90 air strikes, dropped 139 KABs (kamikaze bombs), and engaged 2,506 drones in an attempt to destroy Ukrainian positions. The Russians also carried out 5,771 artillery shelling attacks.
**Regional Updates**
* In the Kharkiv region, the enemy attempted to advance but was repelled.
* In the Donetsk region, Russian forces launched air strikes on several settlements.
* In other areas, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully defended against multiple enemy attacks, including in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Siversk, and Kramatorsk directions.
**Enemy Losses**
Over the past day, the Russian invaders suffered significant losses. They lost 1,560 soldiers, as well as eight tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles, 42 artillery systems, one MLRS (multiple launch rocket system), three air defense systems, 149 drones, and two units of special equipment.
**Ukrainian Forces**
Despite the ongoing attacks, Ukrainian forces have successfully defended their positions. They also continue to inflict significant losses on the Russian invaders.
