Georgian Politician Criticizes Government’s Response to Snow Crisis
Roman Gotsiridze, a Georgian politician, has spoken out against the government’s handling of heavy snowfall in western Georgia. He said that the crisis shows the government is not capable of solving problems.
According to Gotsiridze, a coordination headquarters was established only after citizens took the initiative themselves. This, he said, highlights the government’s inability to respond to extreme situations.
Gotsiridze accused the government of abandoning people affected by disasters and criticized their lack of preparedness for such events. He noted that Georgia is a small country and that the government should be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
The politician also praised citizens who mobilized to help each other during the crisis, saying that street protests had shaped the country.
