**Russia’s Ryazan Oil Refinery Shut Down After Drone Attack**

On February 24, a Ukrainian drone attack hit Russia’s Ryazan oil refinery. The main crude distillation unit (CDU-6) caught fire and was damaged. As a result, the refinery stopped all oil processing.

However, it might be able to start working again soon using other units while CDU-6 is being fixed. This is not the first time the refinery has been hit by drones. It had only recently started working again after an 18-day shutdown due to a previous attack.

**Third Time in 2025**

This is the third time since January that drones have attacked the Ryazan Oil Refinery. The refinery is one of Russia’s biggest oil refineries, with a capacity of 17.1 million metric tons of oil per year.
