**Poland Stands with Ukraine**

The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, has shown support for Ukraine after a heated dispute between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump.

In a message on X, Mr. Tusk wrote: “Dear Volodymyr Zelensky, dear Ukrainian friends, you are not alone.” This came after Mr. Zelensky met with Mr. Trump at the White House to discuss a framework deal on Ukraine’s natural resources.

The meeting was part of weeks of tense negotiations between the two leaders. Ukraine had rejected two initial draft proposals, saying they imposed one-sided obligations without security commitments from Washington.

**Heated Exchange**

The talks ended in a 45-minute press briefing, where there was a heated exchange over US aid to Ukraine and the conditions of a potential peace deal with Russia. After the meeting, Mr. Trump said that Mr. Zelensky “is not ready for peace” and accused him of disrespecting the US.

Mr. Trump also posted on Truth Social: “He can come back when he is ready for peace.”

**Ukraine’s Support**

The Prime Minister of Poland has been a key ally of Ukraine since Russia’s invasion in 2022. Poland has provided extensive military aid, including tanks and ammunition, and has delivered 45 military aid packages to Kyiv since 2022.

According to former Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zvarych, Warsaw has supplied over $4 billion worth of aid to Ukraine.
