**European Parliament Confirms Visit to Serbia**
The European Parliament has confirmed that Tonino Picula, a member of the parliament, will visit Belgrade from 23 to 26 February. This is his first visit as a representative of the parliament for Serbia.
During his trip, Picula will meet with top officials in Serbia, including members of the government and opposition, as well as representatives from media outlets, civil society groups, and business leaders. The purpose of his visit is to gather information for a report on Serbia’s progress towards joining the European Union.
The draft report is expected to be presented to the Foreign Affairs Committee on 20 February 2025. Members of parliament will then have the chance to add their comments before the text is negotiated by political groups and put to a vote in April 2025.
