The summoning of European ambassadors is a continuation of Soviet anti-diplomacy. The main foundation of values, which is in the West and the USA, is not liked by the Dream, it is alien to it, it sees a threat in it, and therefore, a dialogue with our partners could not take place, – said the Secretary General of the National Movement, Petre Tsiskarishvili.
According to Tsiskarishvili, “summoning by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is incomprehensible to our partners”.
“We should perceive the issue of summoning European ambassadors as a continuation of the darkest traditions of the Soviet Union by the Dream, the anti-diplomacy of the Cold War type policy. This is how it was in the dark 70s-80s. The freedom of the diplomatic corps was absolutely limited in Moscow, in the Soviet Union. This is precisely the textbook that the current regime, which, unfortunately, governs Georgia in order to communicate with Western ambassadors, uses.
Three years ago, when we applied for membership in the European Union, the West demanded that we implement the same type of reforms and adhere to the same values as those in Europe. This means the rule of law, respect for state institutions, democracy, and the protection of human rights.

The summoning of ambassadors and the handling of cases in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are incomprehensible to our partners,” said Petre Tsiskarishvili.
