News Article: Petre Tsiskarishvili Fined for Not Submitting Declaration
Petre Tsiskarishvili, the General Secretary of “Unity – National Movement,” has been fined 1,000 GEL. This fine was given because he failed to submit a declaration.
According to Tsiskarishvili, his group had already explained why they did not submit the declaration. They said that their parliamentary mandates were still being worked out and therefore they should not have to submit the declaration.
Tsiskarishvili believes that this decision is unfair. He thinks that people who are no longer members of parliament should not be required to submit this declaration or pay a fine for it.
He plans to take this issue to court and hopes that “common sense” will prevail in the appeal process.
