Airport Safety in Question After Second Attack in Two Days.
The German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, expressed concerns about the safety of Tbilisi International Airport on social media. This comes after an attack on the 5th President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.
Zurabishvili was targeted with eggs as she arrived at the airport from Munich. The incident is already the second of its kind in two days. Fischer questioned whether TAV, the company that manages the airport, has taken adequate measures to ensure safety.
Fischer’s message on X reads: “Solidarity with Salome Zurabishvili… Is this place safe? Will there be any consequences?”
