The inscription “USSR” on Lavrov’s T-shirt will remain Putin’s dream, but its subtext is clear to everyone: they dream not of peace but of new conquests and wars, if they had the strength and opportunity, said Paata Manjgaladze, one of the leaders of “Strategy Aghmashenebeli.”
According to him, yesterday’s meeting once again confirmed who the real force behind global war in the world is.
“In Georgia, meanwhile, the regime continues to tell the people fairy tales about peace while blaming our own country for starting wars. It doesn’t take much insight to understand whose interest it is to portray Georgia as an aggressor and instigator of war—obviously, the enemy’s.
I am simply troubled by the ignorance and shamelessness of those who today cheer for Putin and Lavrov, who dream of restoring the empire and have seized 20% of Georgia’s historic territories, while presenting themselves as the successors of Zviad Gamsakhurdia and Merab Kostava’s ideas and claiming to be greater patriots than me.
Georgia will never return to the Russian swamp of the empire; our future lies on the path of freedom and Europe, and no one can stop that anymore. With unity, we will triumph!” stated Paata Manjgaladze.
