In a statement, Manjgaladze explained that paying bail does not mean Vashadze is free from the regime’s prosecution. “Bail is a preventive measure,” he said. “It shows that a person does not intend to flee or hide.” However, it does not release them from facing charges initiated by the government.

Manjgaladze believes the regime’s goal is to quickly isolate and disconnect specific leaders like Vashadze from the ongoing process. He warned against rushing to judgment or dismissing someone without knowing their plans. “Just think: how can you have the same goals and intentions as the regime?” he asked.

Vashadze was issued a preventive measure of 50,000 GEL bail for failing to appear before a temporary investigative commission on April 15. He has been charged under Article 349 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries penalties such as fines, imprisonment, or deprivation of certain rights.
**The Dangers of Siding with the Regime**
Manjgaladze cautioned against siding with the regime without fully understanding the situation. “Don’t rush, don’t be so quick to sacrifice someone or write them off when you don’t even know them or their plans,” he said. This advice is particularly relevant given the regime’s history of targeting opposition leaders.
