**Russian Drone Attacks on Ukraine Leave Trail of Destruction**
On the evening of May 13 and early morning of May 14, Russian forces launched a massive air assault on Ukraine, unleashing an Iskander-M/KN-23 missile and 145 Shahed-type attack drones, as well as various types of decoy drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force Command, these attacks targeted multiple regions across the country.
**Ukrainian Forces Repel Attack**
The Ukrainian military confirmed that they shot down 80 Shahed-type attack drones in the eastern, northern, western, and central parts of Ukraine. Additionally, 42 Russian decoy drones were reportedly lost without causing any harm. However, no information was provided about intercepting the Iskander-M/KN-23 missile.
**Damage and Injuries Reported**
The military reported that Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, Donetsk, and Kirovohrad oblasts suffered damage as a result of the Russian attack. A particular area of concern is Kharkiv Oblast, where a Russian drone struck a residential area in the village of Oleksandrivka in Lozova district. The State Emergency Service reported that a private house caught fire, covering an area of 20 square meters.
**Injuries and Stress Reactions**
Three people were injured in the attack – two men and a woman – but they refused hospitalization, according to rescue workers. The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that two men aged 49 and 54, and a 93-year-old woman suffered from acute stress reactions.
**Multiple Fires Erupt Across Kharkiv Oblast**
Emergency services reported six fires throughout the day in Kharkiv Oblast due to Russian shelling in various districts. These incidents highlight the ongoing risks faced by civilians living in Ukraine.
**Concerns in Rivne and Vorozhba**
In Rivne Oblast, two people were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack on May 14. The head of the administration reported “minor damage” to civilian infrastructure. In Vorozhba, Sumy Oblast, Russian forces conducted an air strike during the night, damaging and destroying residential buildings, outbuildings, and critical infrastructure facilities. Local authorities have warned residents that air strikes are increasing in frequency.
