**Russia Launches Fresh Attack on Kyiv, Injuring Dozens**

According to eyewitnesses from Kyiv Independent, the sounds of drones and multiple explosions echoed throughout the city. At least nine people were injured in the Sviatoshynskyi district, while 11 others sustained wounds in the Solomianskyi district, including a woman who is fighting for her life. Six individuals were hospitalized as a result of the attack.
The upper floors of a residential building in Solomianskyi took a direct hit, with debris falling at two locations in the Darnytskyi district, one of which caught fire. Emergency responders rushed to the Obolonskyi district to attend to those affected by the attack.

This latest assault on Kyiv is just the latest example of Russia’s relentless campaign against Ukraine. The previous night, June 16, saw a series of drone strikes targeting both Kyiv and surrounding settlements in Kyiv Oblast. A 60-year-old man was injured in the Obukhiv district as a result.
“It’s clear that Russia is escalating its attacks on Ukrainian cities,” said Oleksandra, a resident of Kyiv who wished to remain anonymous. “We’re doing our best to stay safe, but it’s getting increasingly difficult.”
