**Ukraine Denies Participation in Upcoming Meeting with Russia and US**
A top advisor to Ukraine’s President, Mykhailo Podolyak, said on February 15 that Ukraine will not participate in a meeting between Russia and the United States planned for Saudi Arabia.
Podolyak told Ukrainian TV that there was “nothing on the negotiating table” worth discussing. He added that Russia is “not ready for negotiations”. This comes amid conflicting reports about the meeting.
**Reports of Peace Talks**
Some reports, including those from Politico and Bloomberg, said that Russian and Ukrainian representatives would join US officials in Riyadh for peace talks. However, these reports were later updated to say that there are no plans for a Ukrainian delegation to attend.
Polito reported that talks between the three countries are set to begin soon. However, it was not clear what issues would be discussed or what outcome was expected.
**Previous Statements**
Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, had said earlier in the day at the Munich Security Conference that there were no plans for a meeting with Russia and the US. He suggested that media reports of such a meeting were incorrect.
Podolyak also made comments on Ukrainian TV, saying that Russia was trying to use any negotiations to secure an “operational pause” to reorganize its army and ease sanctions.
