Russia Increases Drone Production to 2,000 Units Monthly

Russia is now making 2,000 Shahed drones per month. These drones are being used against Ukrainian cities. Ukraine is trying to find new ways to stop them.

A New Way to Stop Drones

The UK has a new way to stop drones. It’s called a Radiofrequency Directed Energy Weapon (RFDEW). This system can shoot down drones from up to one kilometer away. The cost of each shot is only $0.13, making it very cheap compared to other systems.

The RFDEW can be used on land, in the air, and at sea. It detects and tracks threats before disabling or destroying their electronic components. This causes the drone to crash. One operator can use the system, which is fully automated.

UK to Help Ukraine

The UK may help Ukraine with a similar laser-based defense system called DragonFire. Ukraine already has operational laser weapons that could be used against Russian drones.
