**Police Crack Down on Drug Traffickers, 34 Arrested**

Last night, the Georgian police conducted a major operation to tackle drug trafficking across the country. The results are impressive: 34 individuals have been arrested on charges related to the distribution and sale of narcotics.

According to Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Geladze, most of those detained were involved in the illegal trade of various types of drugs, while some were accused of buying and possessing large quantities of substances. Geladze emphasized that several of the arrested individuals are major players in the drug trade.

**Sophisticated Methods Used to Distribute Narcotics**

The investigation has revealed that the arrested individuals were part of organized schemes to distribute narcotics. They used various methods, including placing drugs at specific locations and selling them through internet applications and social media. The sales were planned to take place in nightclubs and entertainment venues across the country.

To build a strong case against the suspects, police officers conducted multiple controlled purchases from them and made covert audio and video recordings of these transactions. Searches of the suspects’ persons and residences also yielded significant evidence, including a large quantity of various drugs, packaging materials, and large amounts of money believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

**Severe Consequences for Those Found Guilty**

Geladze noted that if found guilty, the individuals arrested may face severe penalties, up to 20 years or life imprisonment. The Minister expressed his gratitude to all the police officers involved in the operation, saying: “I want to express my deep thanks to all the police officers who tirelessly fight to put an end to drug trafficking in our country — saving countless citizens from the devastating effects of addiction.”

**A Significant Blow Against Drug Trafficking**

This operation is a significant blow against drug trafficking in Georgia. The authorities have sent a strong message that they will not tolerate this type of crime and will do everything in their power to bring those responsible to justice.
