**Serbian Police Arrest 17 People in Corruption Crackdown**

A major police operation has taken place in Serbia to combat corruption. Acting on orders from the Belgrade Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office, police arrested 16 people, including a well-known businessman and the president of the Standardization steering board.

Among those arrested is tycoon Dragan Tikic from Vojvodina, a region in northern Serbia. Police also detained his associate. The operation was carried out to stop corruption and bring those responsible to justice.

The main target of the police arrest was Dusan Rafailovic, the president of the Standardization steering board. He is accused of embezzling around €1 million, which he allegedly used to buy luxury cars and apartments. He also faces charges of damaging the state budget through tax frauds.
