**North Korea and Russia Team Up on Drone Production**
A new agreement between North Korea and Russia will allow the former to develop and mass-produce drones. This move is seen as a response to North Korea’s support for Russia in its war with Ukraine.
According to sources, North Korean soldiers are fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine. It’s estimated that around 8,000 North Korean troops were deployed in the region of Kursk Oblast as of early February.
This cooperation between North Korea and Russia is a result of their strategic partnership treaty signed last year. The agreement covers not just military cooperation but also trade, investment, politics, and security issues.
The development of drones by North Korea is significant, especially given the country’s history of producing military equipment. This new initiative follows Moscow’s description of the partnership as “a pact of military alliance,” which suggests a stronger alliance between the two countries.
