Maxar Technologies Restores Ukraine’s Access to High-Resolution Satellite Imagery
The US aerospace company Maxar Technologies has restored Ukraine’s access to high-resolution commercial satellite imagery. This means that Kyiv can again use this critical tool for defense and strategic planning.
Ukraine relies on such imagery to track Russian troop movements, assess battlefield conditions, and monitor damage to Russian infrastructure. The service was previously suspended due to US-Ukraine talks in Jeddah on March 11.
The restoration of access comes after the US agreed to restart key military and intelligence support for Ukraine during those talks. CIA Director John Ratcliffe had announced that the US would halt intelligence sharing with Ukraine, but this decision has been reversed.
US President Donald Trump confirmed that intelligence sharing has resumed, and officials will meet with Russian representatives in the coming days to discuss a ceasefire proposal. The plan includes a 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual agreement.
Meanwhile, fighting continues across Ukraine, with at least 14 civilians killed and 33 injured over the past day.
