European Commissioner Visits European Parliament

European Commissioner Marta Kos spoke at the Foreign Affairs Committee meeting in the European Parliament. She discussed the situation in Georgia and how the European Union is handling it.

Commissioner Kos said that 8.5 million euros have been given to support civil society organizations and independent media in Georgia. The EU is also ready to give an additional 7 million euros for communication activities.

The Commissioner noted that there has been a lot of disinformation spread by the Georgian Dream leadership. She stated that the response to this must be strengthened.
