**Georgian Official Reacts to Hunger Strike**
The leader of the Georgian parliament’s majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, spoke out against hunger striker Mzia Amaglobeli. He said that releasing her due to her condition would be a big problem for the state.
According to Mdinaradze, Amaglobeli’s supporters are portraying her as a hero because she has gone without food. However, he believes that this is not the case. He thinks she should take care of herself and her health instead of using hunger to blackmail the government.
Mdinaradze also made comments about police behavior in Georgia compared to other countries. He said that Georgian police officers are more humane than their French and German counterparts. If a Georgian officer uses force excessively, he believes it’s fair to criticize them for it.
