“In the format of the European Political Community, discussions are held on all important issues concerning the European region – it is important that the Prime Minister of Georgia takes part in the discussions that will address economic issues,” said Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili in connection with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s visit to the Kingdom of Denmark.
According to her, the European Political Community format is the best opportunity for meetings and communication with representatives of different countries and for discussing issues important to Europe.
“The European Political Community format has become an important platform for European leaders. Discussions are held on all the key issues concerning the European region. For us, it is very important that Georgia is a participant in these discussions and that the Prime Minister of Georgia will take part in discussions addressing economic issues. Overall, it is the best format for meetings and also for communication with representatives of different countries and for discussions on issues important to Europe,” said Maka Bochorishvili.
According to the Foreign Minister, within this format, France introduced an anti-narcotics initiative, which was supported by the Georgian side.
“There are various initiatives within this format that relate not only to Europe’s security but also to its economic development. France had an initiative to unite the efforts of European countries in the fight against drugs. We are joining this initiative. This issue is very important for Georgia, especially since, in recent times, active work has been underway on this problem, on the fight against drugs, and this initiative, introduced by France in this format, has been supported by us,” said Maka Bochorishvili, according to the statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
