**European Union Suspends Visa-Free Travel for Georgian Diplomats**
The European Union has suspended parts of the visa facilitation agreement with Georgia. This means that holders of diplomatic passports from Georgia will no longer be able to travel without a visa to EU countries.
Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Bochorishvili, is unhappy about this decision. She says it will harm Georgia’s relations with the European Union and make it harder for them to work together.
The suspension only affects diplomats who hold diplomatic passports. Ordinary Georgian passport holders can still travel without a visa to EU countries for short stays.
Bochorishvili called the decision “technical” and said they will monitor how each country implements this new rule. She stressed that relations with the European Union are very important to Georgia.
The European Union Council made this decision, saying it is because diplomats from Georgia pose a threat to public order in EU member states. However, Bochorishvili disagreed with this statement, saying it has no basis and will not help improve relations between Georgia and the EU.
