**Lithuania Takes a Stand Against Russia’s Threat with New Ammunition Partnership**

The Baltic countries, Poland, and Finland are all at risk of being targeted by Russian aggression. Ukrainian intelligence even claims that Russia is preparing new military operations in Europe, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
**A New Partnership for Ammunition Production**
The partnership between Lithuania, Northrop Grumman, and Nammo will be implemented at the state-owned Giraite Armament Factory. The factory will be integrated into Northrop Grumman’s international supply chains, allowing them to produce ammunition that can be supplied to the international market. Nammo will provide Northrop Grumman with 35 mm ammunition production technology as a subcontractor.
This new partnership is of critical importance to the Lithuanian Armed Forces, NATO allies, and Ukraine. It ensures an uninterrupted supply of ammunition to Lithuania’s Armed Forces and enhances national strategic autonomy in defense. The planned production of medium-caliber ammunition, ranging from 20-50 mm, will be initiated through negotiations with the two defense firms.
