You are right to be afraid, wait for us — on October 4, Ivanishvili, you, and people like you will face the people’s verdict, said Levan Khabeishvili, chairman of the Political Council of the United National Movement, addressing Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
According to Khabeishvili, Kakha Kaladze is “in absolute hysteria.”
“This man, instead of all this ‘bragging,’ if he were interested in investigating even one case — when in November-December people were bloodied, when journalists were mutilated, when they were chased down in the streets, including your colleagues, Maka Chikhladze, Guram Rogava — if even one case had been investigated, I would say this man is reacting adequately. But what I saw is absolute hysteria. He shouts ‘Just dare!’ Excuse me, but we are not the kind of people who break the law and the constitution. These are the people who trample on the law and constitution, they are robbers, and this is their everyday life.
Kakha, we will dare to make sure you no longer dare to torture people. We will dare to ensure you no longer kidnap our citizens and leave pools of blood in so-called police cars. Yes, we will dare to do that, and you better not misstep. Calm down, settle down — this hysteria is bad. Your team will tell you that your face looked exactly like that of a cowardly, frightened man. You are right to be afraid, wait for us. On October 4, Ivanishvili, you, and people like you, the ‘bootlickers,’ wait for the people’s verdict. Constantly it is us and the people waiting to see how much you steal, how much you sentence, who you arrest, and who you physically attack. On October 4, now it is you who must wait for us, for the verdict we will deliver.
Their calls are, ‘Just dare to act illegally.’ No, Kakha, it is you who should dare to raise your hand against the Georgian people. In that case, you will truly face wrath,” Khabeishvili stated.
For reference, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that the opposition’s promises about the “peaceful overthrow” of the government are aimed at encouraging their supporters. As Kaladze told journalists in response to the relevant question, if anyone engages in illegal actions, the strictest legal response will follow. “These statements are made for their supporters, to somehow encourage them. They say a thousand absurd things. I will put it very simply: let them dare to act against the law — they will get the appropriate response and will be punished in the strictest way, naturally within the framework of the law,” Kaladze stated.
