“The outlines of Ivanishvili’s regime have become clear – they will not go anywhere until the people themselves ensure the overthrow of the regime,” Khabeishvili said. “The reality is that this so-called government is not recognized by anyone in the civilized world… In my opinion, the only solution now is Georgia without Ivanishvili and the overthrow of Ivanishvili.”
**What Does Overthrow Mean?**
When asked what he means by “overthrow,” Khabeishvili clarified that it refers to removing Ivanishvili from power. He emphasized that the people must regain control, stating, “The return of politics in this country means the overthrow of the regime… nothing will happen under Ivanishvili.”
Khabeishvili also pointed out that it is not the opposition that is radicalizing, but rather Ivanishvili himself. He argued that Ivanishvili’s government has become increasingly authoritarian, with the ruling party appointing and dismissing officials at will.

In terms of how to approach the overthrow, Khabeishvili believes that society must come together in agreement that no one should participate in the upcoming elections. If more than 800,000 people do not vote, it would mean that Ivanishvili’s government would have an additional legitimacy problem.
