Levan Khabeishvili, a leader of the “Unity – National Movement,” is calling on representatives of the party “Gakharia for Georgia” to either leave parliament or stop criticizing the opposition.

Khabeishvili said that people should figure out who really represents the opposition and who is just doing Bidzina Ivanishvili’s work. He claimed that the leaders of Gakharia’s party are in parliament but still haven’t left, saying they need to decide what they want: leave, stop criticizing, or join with others.

Salome Zurabishvili, a former president, was criticized for saying that division is better than unity. Khabeishvili believes this is not true and that the Georgian coat of arms says “Strength is in unity.”

When asked if Gakharia’s party could unite around Salome, Khabeishvili said his group will only join with those who are against Bidzina Ivanishvili. He added that people can tell who is truly working against him and who just wants to keep their own power.

Levan Khabeishvili gave Salome until March 31st to change her mind about unity being good. If she doesn’t, his group won’t have problems with her party.
