This statement responds to claims by some non-governmental organizations that they received a letter from the Anti-Corruption Bureau accusing them of violating the so-called “Law on the Registration of Foreign Agents” and threatening them with criminal liability.

According to the statement, the actions carried out by the authorities contradict the foundations of democracy and are in opposition to the country’s Constitution and the will of the Georgian people.
