The coalition “Lelo-Strong Georgia” and the party “Gakharia for Georgia” have nominated mayoral candidates in Adjara.
· Batumi mayoral candidate: Gocha Gugunava (Gakharia for Georgia party)
· Kobuleti mayoral candidate: Paata Tsivadze (Lelo-Strong Georgia coalition)
· Khulo mayoral candidate: Irakli Bolkvadze (Gakharia for Georgia party)
· Shuakhevi mayoral candidate: Natia Mgeladze (Lelo-Strong Georgia coalition)
· Keda mayoral candidate: Ramaz Davitadze (Lelo-Strong Georgia coalition)
· Khelvachauri mayoral candidate: Badri Mamuladze (Lelo-Strong Georgia coalition).
As Aleko Elisashvili, one of the leaders of “Lelo-Strong Georgia,” stated during the candidate nomination, the two parties will not be rivals but will fight side by side.
“This is an unprecedented event in our country’s history. We want to demonstrate that we are two responsible and influential political forces creating something unprecedented in our country’s recent political history. We agree to fight together, not to undermine each other or be rivals, but to stand shoulder to shoulder in this struggle. I firmly believe that every citizen who is fed up with ‘Georgian Dream,’ and even more so with the endless bickering among opposition parties, wants to hand over power to others – but to people who can communicate with each other, think together about the country’s future, and fight together for that future,” Elisashvili stated.
