**Russian Attacks Leave Trail of Destruction in Kyiv Region**
In a devastating overnight attack, Russian forces have targeted several districts in the Kyiv region, leaving a trail of destruction and despair. According to reports, 115 private houses were damaged or destroyed across Bucha, Fastiv, and Bila Tserkva districts.
The attack was particularly severe in Markhalivka village, where 22 private houses were damaged or destroyed. The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, visited the affected area and shared his experience on social media. “It’s painful to see: ruined homes, shattered yards, frightened but resilient people,” he wrote.
The attack was not limited to residential areas alone. Food warehouses, educational institutions, garages, outbuildings, and even a bathhouse were also targeted. Kalashnyk emphasized that these civilian objects were hit by the enemy’s attack, leaving no doubt about Russia’s intentions to destroy everything in its path.
**Humanitarian Efforts Underway**
In response to the devastating attack, humanitarian efforts are underway to provide assistance to those affected. Teams from DTEK Kyiv Regional Power Grids have begun restoring electricity supply, while charitable foundations “Hansen Mission in Ukraine,” “ROKADA,” and GEM have joined forces to provide building materials to those in need.
The “Hansen Mission in Ukraine” has also organized accommodation for families whose homes were destroyed. Builders and homeowners are working together to carry out urgent repairs and protect the houses from the elements.
**Compensation and Rebuilding**
Kalashnyk emphasized that a commission is working on site to assess the degree of damage to houses for inclusion in the damaged property registry. He assured that all services are involved, and partners’ assistance is timely.
“It must work together so that people can receive compensation for destroyed or damaged property,” Kalashnyk said. “The evil Russia brings to our land will not go unpunished. We will rebuild everything that was destroyed. No one will be left alone to face their misfortune.”
