**Tbilisi Mayor Highlights Environmental Protection Efforts**
In a recent event held in Zghvisubani Park, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze highlighted the city’s efforts to protect and preserve its environment. Today, it stands as the largest recreational area in Tbilisi, covering 25 hectares.
Kaladze proudly noted that every effort was made to create an ideal environment for citizens to relax and unwind. “It warms my heart to see people come here,” he said. The park’s transformation serves as a testament to the city’s commitment to providing green spaces for its residents.
**Stopping the Sale of Recreational Spaces**
During his speech, Kaladze also emphasized the importance of preserving recreational spaces and sports fields from being sold off for construction purposes. In 2017, the mayor stated that they successfully changed this “harmful practice” established under the previous government. This initiative has enabled the city to create more parks and green areas, making Tbilisi a more attractive and livable place.

Kaladze expressed gratitude to the charitable foundation “Cartu” for supporting the renovation of the Mtatsminda slope.
