The Tbilisi City Court sentenced Tsira Zhvania, a social media journalist for Formula TV, to 10 days of administrative detention.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs accused Zhvania of violating the rules for holding assemblies and manifestations.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, over the past two days, 14 individuals were detained for violating the rules of holding assemblies and manifestations, in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses. One of the detainees was transferred to the Center for Mental Health and Drug Addiction Prevention, where they will undergo compulsory treatment.
According to the Ministry, over the past three days, 53 instances of violations were identified by protest participants, with 42 individuals being offenders. Some of them have already been detained, while administrative proceedings are ongoing for the others.
