**US Politician Demands Sanctions Against Georgian Leader**
Joe Wilson, a US politician and chairman of the Helsinki Commission, has called for sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili and his “Georgian Dream” group.
Wilson is concerned that Georgia is being taken over by an illegitimate government. He says the current rulers are treating Georgians cruelly.
“We cannot stand by and let Georgia fall into the hands of a dictatorship,” Wilson wrote on social media.
He wants sanctions to be imposed against Ivanishvili and his team, saying this would prevent Georgia from becoming a dictatorship against the will of its people.
