**Ivanishvili’s Fears Exposed: Lelo-Strong Georgia Calls for Action**
The recent case of Nika Melia, a prominent Georgian opposition leader who was kidnapped while out on bail, has sent shockwaves throughout the country. Irakli Kupradze, Secretary General of Lelo-Strong Georgia, has seized upon this incident to highlight the government’s growing desperation and fear of political leaders.
According to Kupradze, Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Georgian Prime Minister, is becoming increasingly afraid of opposition leaders who remain at large. This fear, he believes, is driving the government’s heavy-handed tactics, including the kidnapping of Melia. “Our goal,” Kupradze stated, “is to make Ivanishvili’s life as difficult as possible.” By doing so, Lelo-Strong Georgia aims to create a more level playing field for opposition parties and to promote justice in the country.
**The Role of Politicians in Resistance**
Kupradze emphasized that politicians play a crucial role in the resistance movement against the government. “The government,” he noted, “has nothing left but violence, repression, and dismissal of civil servants.” By contrast, Lelo-Strong Georgia promises to restore justice under its leadership. “Each dismissed civil servant will definitely return to his position,” Kupradze stated, “and justice will be restored.”
