**Georgian Official Criticizes European Parliament Resolution**

The European Parliament has passed a resolution criticizing the government of Georgia. But the country’s parliamentary speaker, Irakli Kobakhidze, says this is just another attack on the Georgian state.

He compared this to the 9-year rule of President Mikhail Saakashvili’s regime, which many Georgians saw as harsh and unfair. Kobakhidze said that those who initiated this resolution are the same people who were in power back then.
