Irakli Kobakhidze signs declaration initiated by France on establishment of European coalition against drugs

 Georgia has joined the French initiative to establish a European coalition against drugs, the declaration of which was signed by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. The Government Administration has released information about the above.
According to the press service, the Head of the Georgian Government, along with leaders of various countries, participated in the event, which was held in Copenhagen within the framework of the 7th Summit of the European Political Community and was co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
“The Prime Minister drew attention to the Georgian government’s tough policy in the fight against drugs. Irakli Kobakhidze noted that Georgian law enforcement agencies have seized a particularly large amount of narcotics in the past few months, as well as arrested several dozen major drug dealers.
The Georgian Prime Minister emphasized the need for joint efforts of world leaders and international cooperation in the process of effective fight against drugs and noted that the French initiative to create a European coalition against drugs is a significant step forward in this regard,” reads the press release.
