**Georgian Prime Minister Fires Back at US Ambassador’s Comments**
In a tense exchange, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze responded to the comments made by US Ambassador to Georgia Robin Dunnigan. The ambassador had stated that a non-public letter from the leadership of the Georgian Dream party to President Donald Trump was “threatening, insulting, and not serious”.
**A Difficult Relationship**
The relationship between Georgia and the United States has been strained in recent years. Prime Minister Kobakhidze accused ambassadors Robin Dunnigan and Kelly Degnan of making a significant contribution to the deterioration of these relations. He stated that they had no moral right to comment on Georgian-American relations.
**Not Taking Rumors Seriously**
When asked about Ambassador Dunnigan’s comments, Prime Minister Kobakhidze made it clear that he did not take her seriously. He pointed out that she was dismissed from her position and therefore had no credibility in this matter. “Commenting on the gossip of a dismissed ambassador is inappropriate,” he said.

The Georgian government wants to move forward with a fresh start in its relations with the United States.
