This is another attack on the Georgian people, stated Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, commenting on the resolution adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, such resolutions have no value.
“This resolution once again demonstrates the dire state of affairs within European bureaucracy today, including specific provisions that cannot withstand criticism. This is another attack on the Georgian people. It is yet another expression of the situation that has been created in European bureaucracy today. Consequently, such resolutions have no value. As for Ms. Yelyzaveta [Yasko], she has a subjective interest, and the reason for her activism is clear,” the Prime Minister stated.
For reference, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a resolution titled “Support for Democracy and the Rule of Law in Georgia.” As noted in the draft text of the resolution, the Assembly is deeply concerned that the Georgian authorities are systematically ignoring its concerns and recommendations regarding the democratic crisis in Georgia, which are shared by the international community.
