You remember the demarche of all the EU ambassadors, when they came to the Ministry of Justice, claiming that Saakashvili was being killed by the government, etc. However, everything became clear very soon, we are dealing with lies of the same rank, and once again all this indicates the tragic situation in the European bureaucracy,” Kobakhidze said.

As the resolution states, the Georgian government “has begun to make alarming changes, moving away from European democratic values and straining relations with civil society.”
“The deteriorating state of the rule of law is evident in concrete examples: former President Mikheil Saakashvili continues to remain in difficult and unsuitable conditions, which is condemned by international organizations. Several opposition figures, including Nika Melia and Zurab Japaridze, have been subjected to legal persecution and detention after appealing their own decisions.
