More than 400 political parties are registered in Georgia. Regarding our goal, our aim is the unconstitutional banning of a single political force — this is the “Collective National Movement,” — stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in relation to declaring political parties unconstitutional.
According to him, the constitutional lawsuit serves to restore and strengthen the democratic and political system.
“In reality, certain technical issues in the legislation have been clarified. For us, the main thing is to submit a well-prepared lawsuit to the Constitutional Court to finally and permanently restore the health of our democratic system. In conditions where the ruling team’s only opponent is a criminal political force — the ‘Collective National Movement’ — a healthy democratic system cannot exist. Therefore, we need the restoration of a democratic and political system, and this is exactly what the lawsuit, which will be submitted to the Constitutional Court in a few days, aims to achieve.
There are a few days left before the lawsuit is submitted. The list will become known once we file the lawsuit.
Today, more than 400 political parties are registered in Georgia. As for our goal, our aim is the unconstitutional banning of a single political force. This is the ‘Collective National Movement.’ It is one political force, and in reality, the lawsuit concerns only this single political force,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
