Irakli Kobakhidze meets with Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset

 Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset within the frames of the European Political Community (EPC) Summit.
The discussion focused on cooperation between Georgia and the Council of Europe, as well as resolutions adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the Government Administration reports.
“During the meeting, we touched on all relevant topics, including the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). As you may well know, we suspended our participation in the Assembly after it adopted a specific resolution. Here as well, we expressed our full readiness to cooperate with the Council of Europe; we are prepared to cooperate with the Parliamentary Assembly too, but such cooperation must be based on clear principles. I thanked Mr. Alain Berset for his involvement in processes related to our country and I hope that these relations will continue in a constructive manner,” stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
The meeting was attended by Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of Government Administration of Georgia.
