**Georgian Prime Minister Slams European Parliament Over “Shameful” Resolution**
In a strongly worded statement, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has condemned the European Parliament for adopting a resolution he considers “utterly shameful”. The Georgian leader accused the European Parliament of blackmailing the Georgian people for not returning the “National Movement” party to power. Kobakhidze also made it clear that the previous government, led by Mikheil Saakashvili, was responsible for numerous crimes during its rule from 2004-2012.
The Prime Minister highlighted several examples of these crimes, including torture, racketeering, and the seizure of television stations. He also mentioned the handing over of territories to Russia as a result of the war in 2008. Kobakhidze pointed out that it was EU bureaucrats who essentially gave a green light for these actions by Saakashvili’s regime.

In his statement, Kobakhidze emphasized that the European bureaucracy must take responsibility for the resolution passed by the European Parliament. He stressed that this is not just a matter of accountability but also a question of moral integrity and respect for democratic principles.
