**Georgian PM Calls for Honest Look at Past**
Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, has spoken out about the country’s past. He met with journalists in Kazakhstan and said it is essential to tell the truth about what happened.
Kobakhidze wants a thorough investigation into the crimes committed by the government from 2004-2012. These crimes include murder, torture, and business corruption. The Prime Minister also mentioned the war between Georgia and Russia in 2008.
He believes that a “Nuremberg process” is needed to ensure that these crimes are not forgotten. A Nuremberg process refers to a trial where people are held accountable for their actions. Kobakhidze wants this to happen so that Georgia does not go back to its troubled past.
The Prime Minister is clear: he believes the government was controlled from outside and committed many crimes. He thinks it’s essential to investigate these crimes through a parliamentary commission.
