Russian Attacks on Ukraine Kill 2, Injure Many
Overnight attacks by Russia killed at least two people and injured many more in different parts of Ukraine. The attacks took place on January 23.
According to Ukrainian air defenses, Russian forces launched 92 Shahed-type attack drones and decoy drones against the country. They also fired four ballistic missiles against Zaporizhzhia. However, Ukrainian air defenses shot down 57 drones, while 27 were lost without causing damage.
In Zaporizhzhia, a 47-year-old man was killed and at least 31 people were injured in Russian attacks overnight. Among the injured is a two-month-old baby. Twenty-two of them are hospitalized with medium severity injuries.
One apartment building was destroyed and 30 others damaged in Zaporizhzhia. Non-residential buildings, houses, and cars were also damaged in the city.
Russian Attacks Cause Damage Elsewhere
In Kostiantynivka, a Russian airstrike killed one civilian and injured eight. Fourteen houses, eight apartment buildings, and dozens of other buildings were damaged in the attack.
In Kherson Oblast, seven people were injured in Russian attacks. Twelve houses were damaged in the strikes.
These are just some of the many areas affected by Russia’s ongoing attacks on Ukraine. The situation remains uncertain and is being closely monitored.
